We're Powder Keg, a bunch of mates from Manchester who are also an award-winning theatre company.

Our artistic practice explores contemporary politics with a gut-punch response.

We make theatre to provoke anger and empathy. Care is a central part of our practice both inside and outside the rehearsal room, and we are constantly exploring and evaluating our social responsibility as artists.

Our work varies from shows in traditional theatre spaces to a protest in family arts centre, a guided tour, a durational dance in an abandoned theatre, and a portable rave at Parklife 2013. We are constantly learning, listening and looking out for each other.
