ALSO I’m making a solo show. It’s called Sometimes history needs a push and it’s about the Soviet Union, people who miss it, why I think that’s wild and how we make sense of the world. Hopefully I’ll be sharing it with you in 2021.

Other people I’ve worked with include Daniel Bye, Stacy Makishi, and Barrel Organ. I’ve been supported by Word of Warning, Contact, ARC Stockton, the Royal Exchange, and others.

Want to get in touch? I chat absolute garbage at @rocaffrey on twitter and insta. DM me, let’s have a chat, I promise not to chat garbage to you.

I am a performer, writer, technician and musician from Manchester. I like to make work about politics, feeling useless and power.

In addition to Powder Keg, I collaborate with fellow Manchester based artist Caitlin Gleeson. We have a show called Vera; it’s about dark matter and sexism, and we’ll be doing more development on it in 2021. You can find out more about Caitlin’s practise here.

I am a touring performer/technician with The Javaad Alipoor Company for his show The Believers are but Brothers. I sit on stage and send you Whatsapp messages throughout the show, it’s the best. I’ve toured both nationally and internationally with the show, and in 2019 we were part of the British Council Showcase at the Edinburgh Fringe. You can check out Javaad’s website here.
